About Me

I am a digital consultant with an engineering background, both Masters' and PhD.

I currently work on automated ETL (extract, transform, load) finance data processes, deployed on AWS (Amazon web services). The include the transformation of SAP tables to create a reusable environment that is client non specific, while maintaining data quality and integrity by including QA tests throughout the code.

I am experienced in visualisation software, including both Tableau and PowerBI.

I am also part of a team that has created a bespoke supply and demand forecasting tool that is currently being used at the highest levels within the public sector.

My background prior is engineering - University of Nottingham MEng, Imperial College London PhD (pending completion). My undergraduate studies focussed on Mechanical Engineering, with a specialisation in Aerospace; which led to postgraduate education in Materials Science.

My research concentrated on failure mechanisms in high performance alloys in gas turbine engines, both in military and commercial applications. The motivation behind this project was to reduce component wastage by reducing safety factors. This was done by improving prediction models to more accurately pinpoint the location and time of fracture.

This space is my own and aims to introduce myself, and what I do.

  • Computational analysis of large data sets from resulting models - pattern finding and presentation.

  • Complex crystal plasticity finite element (CPFE) modelling to simulate material behaviour.

  • Python, MATLAB, and SQL - experienced.

  • GitLab, AWS (Athena, Airflow, s3)

  • Experience using Docker/Docker Compose, HTML, Linux.

  • Well experienced in 3D modelling software - ABAQUS.
